why choose a titanium heat pump?

Titanium heat pumps use a high quality Samsung compressor and over 15 years of research and development insures that Titanium heat pumps are second to none.

Titanium heat pumps have a C.O.P of up to 5.2 .That relates to the conversion of 1 kilowatt of electricity consumed by the compressor and fan motor to produce 5.2 kilowatts of heat Titanium heat pumps are the quietest heat pumps available working at less than 46 decibels ensuring all working installations are inoffensive to sun bathers or neighbours.

Titanium heat pumps have a condenser that is built from pure titanium to with stand water conditions of highly corrosive desalinated water.

Tested for over 15 years in extreme conditions such as Australia the Canary Islands and Saudi Arabia

Titanium pool heaters are backed up by a full 5 year guarantee on the heat exchanger and 2 year no nonsense labour and parts warrantee on the complete unit.

how does a heat pump work?

Titanium heat pumps utilize the ambient free heat by collecting and absorbing energy from the outside air. This energy is then transferred to the pool water.

Your existing swimming pool pump circulates the water through the heater and warms the pool. The unit contains a fan that draws in outside air and directs it over the surface of the EVAPORATOR (energy collector).

The liquid refrigerant within the EVAPORATOR coil absorbs the heat from the outside air and the refrigerant becomes a gas.

The warm gas passes through the compressor where it is compressed to form a very hot gas, which then passes through the CONDENSOR (water heat exchanger). It is here that the heat exchange occurs as the hot gas gives up the heat to the cooler swimming pool water circulating through the coil.

The pool water becomes warmer and the hot gas is cooling down as it flows through the CONDENSOR coil, returns to its liquid form and, after passing through the expansion valve, the whole process begins again. The integrated microprocessor monitors all the sensors and controls the device without any intervention of the user. Electronic display and control with easy operation is standard.

The use of a high efficient, low sound rotary or scroll compressor, a low noise fan and an oversized heat exchanger, makes the titanium heat pump to be extremely efficient and quiet in operation

How much of the year can we expect to swim

if we don’t heat our pool?

A lot depends upon how you use your pool and your tolerance for colder temperatures. Residents of northern climates are completely comfortable swimming in 78°F water and this is usually the temperature required for competitive swimming events. On the other hand, Florida residents usually like their pool water a bit warmer; at least 80°F or more.

And if you are heating your pool for therapeutic reasons, you will want at least 85°F water and possibly as warm as 90°F. A Central Florida screened pool will typically be at least 80°F or warmer for about three months and may reach 83–85°F from mid August to early September. Open pools are a bit warmer because the pool surface receives more direct solar energy, and may stay comfortable for an extra month or more.

What are the health benefits of heating my pool?

Doctors and physical therapists regard swimming as a very beneficial form of exercise because it works the entire body without impact stresses on the joints. A heated pool can safeguard your health and contribute to your well-being by allowing you to exercise throughout the year. And while children love to swim and can often tolerate lower temperatures, pediatricians caution that repeated chilling can make young children more susceptible to respiratory infections. This can also be true for elderly swimmers. A heated pool prevents chilling and problems associated with excessive body heat loss.
